Suitable For
As with any new feed, introduce gradually over a week.
Use 100g a day per 100kg body weight, i.e. 500g per
day for a 500kg horse.
At times of greater need use up to three times this
amount (e.g. 500g - 1.5kg for a 500kg horse per day).
Feed soaked, use 2-2.5 parts water to 1 part feed.
A level Stubbs bowl scoop = 1.7kg approximately

We do not add vitamins as they occur naturally within the ingredients, often in their precursor form. The packaging of each of our forage products details average vitamin, mineral and trace element figures produced by the British Association of Green Crop Driers to give an indication of the levels found within Lucerne or Grass. Simple System undertakes mineral analysis every two years or when/if the source of the product is changed. Below are the most up to date figures specific to this product.

Bought as a four year old for my daughter, this little lady has been the best ever. Lots of consistent wins with school shows, then onto unaffiliated shows and then affiliated. She has been on a Simple System diet for most of her life. This pic was taken last summer and she will be 31 years old next month. When the weather turns cold, horses are less inclined to drink and coupled with sudden changes in management, such as more time spent stabled or eating more hay, this can increase the risk of impaction colic.Â
The MET office has weather warnings in place for much of the UK. Please ensure your horses have sufficient intake of forage and water to minimise the risk of gastric issues, impaction colic and dehydration.
Winter can be a challenging time for our poor doers; grass quality declines offering much less nutritional value than in the warmer seasons and the cold weather makes use of energy stores for generating heat and staying warm.
