Customer success stories with PuraBeet

Khan (aka Kerry Man)

Posted by Claudette on 15 April 2014

I have waited nearly 12 months before writing a testimonial for Simple System due to the circumstances which I found myself in last April (2013) when my beloved horse was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Last April my 24 year old horse Khan (aka Kerry Man to his friends!) a 16.3 part Irish gelding suffered 3 bouts of choke in 12 days. In the preceding 14 years, Kerry had never once suffered from choke and therefore, the first time this happened, the vet said it was probably a "one off". Days later he suffered a further bout and 5 days later another. In between he was his normal bright self with no outwardly signs that anything was wrong. After the third bout of choke (and on this point I will say that the only symptom he displayed was retching) I decided to take him to m... Read more

Serendipity Blue (Sarah)

I would just like to tell you about my success with Simple System. I bought a 4 year old ex race horse who was very thin and scrawny with a lovely temperament. She is fed Blue Bag Grass Pellets, PuraBeet and Total Eclipse. Here are the before and after photos, first one taken in June 2013 and the last one march 2014. Thank you Simple System! Read more

My lovely Quarter Horse was diagnosed with Equine Cushings disease in Dec 2009 at the young age of 10yrs. It was really awful, he came down with laminitis in Dec in all 4 feet, and 4-5months box rest. My excellent farrier and vet got him back on track and we even continued some endurance pleasure rides and went back to normal shoes rather than heart bars. He has been on one pergolide tablet a day since then. Very distressingly, this year, on Hogmany I spotted him looking a bit off, and felt his feet, laminitis. Blood tests showed ATCH levels normal but insulin was over 300, normal is <20! We have no idea why everything went haywire this year, he is now 15, so not sure if age playing a part, mild wet winter may also factor. Nothing had changed in his management so my vet says we mi... Hi there, I just wanted to feedback how impressed I've been with your whole service! I contacted your advice line approx 6 months ago and corresponded with Chesney who was able to advise and answer all of my questions. I've had my young knabstrupper 'Jinx' (Tresaison Hinxhill) on SS ever since and haven't looked back. Jinx was 12 months old when I bought him and is now rising 3. He is fed LucieFibreCubes, Total Eclipse, LucieStalks & PuraBeet - all of which he loves! I've never owned a horse so shiny as he is! And considering his rapid growth (14'1" - 16'3" in 12 months) he is in great condition and has oodles of energy! Although he's not 'working' due to his age, we've done plenty on the ground in readiness for his ridden career -... Read more
