Here’s one of Cookie Cookie is a 30 yr old Dartmoor cross. He is every child’s perfect pony but his teeth are falling out and every winter he loses a lot of weight. He can only eat fresh green grass – not old stalky stuff. The last 18 months he hasn’t been able to eat hay or haylage either. Then we found Simple Systems and he now has a huge bucket of Lucie Nuts and Purebeet every day in winter. He is expensive to feed but he’s worth every penny – see rosettes in picture as proof. He does dressage, showjumping, cross country, small endurance rides, and is in the Junior mounted games team. The vet said he’d be totally toothless soon, but I know I can get the required fibre and nutrition into him now, teeth or no teeth, and I hope he will be with us for many years to come. He is the most adorable and cheeky pony and we all love him.
