Sandi

Sandi is a rising five year old Haflinger mare. For me, she is another in a long series of Haflinger youngsters that I have backed and schooled, either for myself or for others. I actually got her as a project after my 'forever horse' Lena injured herself in the field aged just 6 and had to be retired. However, Sandi is going nowhere! I have clicker trained her since the start and she has developed into a brave and bold character who is also sensitive and willing. I've backed her slowly, doing lots of inhand schooling and fun events like Horse Agility. She was the champion Haflinger at the ECG show last May. Sandi suffers from an unusual form of sweet itch and is intolerant to changes in diet and sugars/ryegrass. Simple System have helped me to develop a diet that helps to keep her slim and yet enough fibre through her system to keep her healthy.
