Why is MetaSlim high in protein?

Why is MetaSlim high in protein? It’s all a matter of scale…

Dark chocolate is good for you: it has all sorts of antioxidants and wonderful condensed tannins. That is, one or two squares are good for you. Not the whole bar in one go!

The trouble is, chocolate tastes nice so we over-indulge, consuming too much sugar that leads a breakout of spots – or certainly a feeling of guilt!

It works just the same for horses – but we can control what they have – and we’re not talking chocolate anymore, by the way.

A food can be high in protein but if it is fed in small amounts, it’s a good thing, and isn’t overindulging. A high-quality, high-protein balancer acts a top-up. If grazing is restricted or soaked hay is fed this is a necessity even as protein is the most important nutrient of all. It is involved in nearly every bodily function making it vital for maintaining good health – not just muscle tone!

On the topic of scale, we need to consider the amount consumed and the protein content itself:

5kg of a mature cut hay containing 8% protein will supply around 350g of protein yet 0.5kg of MetaSlim, which contains 20% protein, will supply less than 100g of protein.

The MetaSlim in this scenario acts as a valuable top up of a vital nutrient, essential for repair and maintenance of all the organs of the body. But is not being fed to excess.
