Laminitis is a painful inflammatory condition affecting the sensitive laminae within the hoof that can have a variety of causes.
For those at risk of or suffering from laminitis it is very important to keep sugar and starch levels in the diet as low as possible. We recommend removing anything from the diet that contains sugary or starchy ingredients such as molasses, cereals - including their by-products such as oatfeed which can still contain undersized grains - and pulses such as beans, peas and soya.
