Horses in medium work will be schooling regularly, mainly working in trot, canter and doing lateral work or pole work with some jumping. They are most likely to be competing at an affiliated level.
At this level of work, unless a very good doer, they will need higher protein and higher digestible energy feeds. They are more likely to be sweating when worked and may need additional salt supplementation to maintain elecrolyte balance.
