As we've settled into the festive season, it’s time to look back and reflect on the year we’ve had at Simple System.
After a cold start to spring, the summer gave us a relatively straightforward harvest. A harvest which brought our two latest products - Meadow Forage Pellets, five forages, grown together to increase variety in the diet, and Sainfoin & Shine, our sainfoin chop with cold pressed linseed oil.
We’ve given a very warm welcome to new members of the team in delivery drivers Chris and Ricki, along with Kate in accounts. We’ve also bid a fond farewell to Graham who had been with us for seventeen years. Graham was a favourite for a lot of our van delivery customers and we wish him all the very best for the future.
Thank you to all of the customers who have shared their horses’ stories with us - knowing your horses are thriving is the driving force for all we do. Our Feed Line team have provided nutritional advice for over 10,000 horses in 2024! We are always here to help you find the best diet for your horse. Many of our customers will have met or spoken with Ellen in 2024. For the past three years Ellen has been completing her Masters in Equine Science from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. Ellen officially graduated in November, and we couldn’t be prouder of her achievement and dedication.
What a year it's been for our supported riders. Janine at Team Lamy Wright celebrated 20 years of equestrian coaching and 10 years of support from Simple System. George Wood furthered her showjumping success with a top 10 at the nationals, and Team Fenix had a fantastic time in France for the FEI World Driving Young Horse Championships. Not forgetting our little friends, the Dinky Ponies who have spread heartfelt joy and enrichment to care homes, hospitals and education centres, with their inspiring therapy visits. We've also welcomed Emily, Georgia and Rebecca to the supported rider family - we'll be hearing from them in 2025.
On a more personal note, this year I have formally taken over the reins as Tim eases into his retirement. Tim, Jane and Sue founded Simple System together in 1996. Tim's lateral thinking and ability to dissect every aspect of any specific challenge is a huge part of why Simple System is what it is today. We are proud to think differently, and that stems from our founders.
Heading into 2025, we have plenty to look forward to. We will have exciting new products, improved production capacity to support our continued growth, and some birthday celebrations as our hugely popular feed, HayCare, turns 10 years old in November!
