Indy off to the trainers

04 January 2013

We have taken Indy over to Southgate Stables at Sutton Valence where she is to commence her professional racing career. Christie, who has been riding her twice or three times a week at home since we commenced her training in September, has said that she would like to stay involved and continue to ride her once a week - the yard are happy for this to be the case. First run on the oval all weather track goes well.

First hack to and from and use of Linda's hill gallop. Ran with the 'flat horses',  and Christie knew she had more to offer. Ally hind shoes slipping a bit after such a long hack on the roads - may have to go to lightweight steel hinds (with clips). She has been eating up well since arriving, and will go onto Instant Linseed in addition to Total Eclipse soon. Off feed again the following day and weightaped - 450kg.
