Spud

I bought Spud, a 14hh Fell gelding, in October 2009 - he was very overweight so I put him on a diet, carefully weighing hay soaked overnight. Within 3 months he had lost 80kg but still had large fat pads behind his shoulders which I just could not shift. After speaking to Jane I put him on MetaSlim for 3 months and the fat pads disappeared.

 

I have fed Simple System food for a number of years and he has been on PuraBeet and LucieNuts since I've had him. However, when he arrived he came with all his belongings, including a large tub of supplement from a well known supplier, which I fed until it ran out.

 

He is very hairy and has a very thick coat which I clipped every 3 weeks through his first winter with me to keep him comfortable. His coat was very coarse and when clipped was like stubble - not at all nice to cuddle. When the supplement ran out I put him on Total Eclipse and 4 weeks later started to notice a difference in his coat. Now, 6 weeks on, his coat has completely changed; it is so soft and silky even after a clip and has such a shine I can't believe the difference and can't stop cuddling him. If I ever needed justification for feeding Simple Systems this is it.

 

We do a bit of every thing and have completed over 200 miles of pleasure rides this year; he has maintained his new slim figure whilst having the energy to perform all the tasks required. Many thanks!
