Promise is a 17 year old New Forest x Trotter who has a history of gastric ulcers, and although she's never had laminitis, this was also a potential concern for her owner, Olivia.

After confirming that Promise has good teeth for chewing, Ellen on the Feed Line suggested low calorie Organic Lucie Stalks as the bulk of Promise's feed. These are fed dampened and are ideal for encouraging saliva production. They can also be Target Fed immediately before work as part of Olivia's management strategy for Promise.

Veteran Balance + was also recommended to provide a top-up of vitamins, minerals and prebiotic, as well as joint support to aid flexibility.
