Future is looking bright

01 April 2015

This month has been jam packed with exciting things happening. First and foremost the fabulous sponsorship offer from Simple System. Willemien is heading to Hartpury Area Festival Championships in a few weeks’ time and is getting fitter and stronger after a fall on the yard. Diane Daynes, Equine bodyworker, has also joined Team Hill as a sponsor and will support Willemien, getting her back on track and ready for Hartpury. I’ve recently had a lesson with Emile Faurie on Enora. Enora has only been back in work for a few month after weaning her beautiful colt Alfie. Emile gave me some lovely feedback on Enora and thought that once she was more consistent in her work she will have a super trot and canter and will be one to watch in the future. Enora has a great temperament and super active paces and these comments from Emile, an international rider with so much experience, was very exciting!!

I am hoping to have another lesson with Emile on Willemien before we set off for the winter championships. Dyani has sadly managed to twist her pelvis so is undergoing some chiropractic treatment from Sue alongside muscle work with Diane. On the plus side she’s enjoying the mini break.

Swing Time II is still in the process of getting fit enough for competition proving to be happier in his work. Almost too much when he tries to show off his party tricks doing flying changes and extensions! With the warmer weather and longer daylight hours I can take Swing Time II hacking in the woods to improve his fitness. A few hours up and down hills with some interval training should do the trick! A new backing livery has arrived and doing well and I am looking forward to welcoming a new livery at the end of the month. My website is now up and running with more developments planned in the future. I’m really pleased with the outcome, it’s been a long time coming but absolutely worth the wait. I look forward to updating you on Hartpury next time….
