Ashleigh Hill is an up and coming dressage rider running an established livery and stud business in Kent. Ashleigh has successfully produced and competed horses up to Prix St George working her way up from young riders to seniors having gained experience working and training with some of the most talented riders in the UK. The stud business is something Ashleigh takes particular pride in, having only been established for a few years, Ashleigh has produced three higher first premium foals and two elite premium foals. Her first foal (Floriek) is now competing and will be attending her first regional championships in February 2018.
Ashleigh trains with List 1 BD judge, Mary Anne Horn and Gareth Hughes. She has three exciting prospects to compete in 2018. Originally from South East London, Ashleigh does not come from your typical horsey background and has worked hard over the years to achieve her goals, relocating to Kent to establish Ashleigh Hill Dressage. Ashleigh is a positive and enthusiastic individual and a sympathetic rider who credits her family and friends for their support over the years, especially her parents.
In addition to riding, Ashleigh is also a trainee BD judge and trainer who teaches a variety of pupils from children to adults, beginners to those competing at affiliated regional/area festival level. Ashleigh also is a UKCC level 2 coach and is looking to do her level 3.
Goals for 2018:
- Dyani is competing in the Novice Winter Regionals in February 2018 and hoping to make the step towards Elementary in the spring and start working towards Medium by the end of the year.
- Floriek is also competing in the Novice winter regionals in February 2018 and hoping to make the step towards Elementary in the spring and start working towards Medium by the end of the year.
- Saffyre is a rising 5 year old and will start her competition career.
"I switched to Simple System as Willemien is a very anxious/nervous horse who suffered from ulcers, she would stop eating when we stayed away at shows which had a huge impact on her performance. The transition to Simple System has made Willemien easier to girth and her attitude has become more relaxed allowing her to focus on her work. When the big test of staying away came again, Willemien happily ate her feed and was noticeably more relaxed and easier to handle. I was so pleased with the results, I moved all of the horses on to Simple System.
I noticed a difference in all of their temperaments very quickly. Other benefits include a coat that positively gleams and those that did not maintain their weight are now able to do so and with less feed. Overall, I love the freedom you have with Simple System; being able to feed before exercise helps line their stomach and gives them a lot more focus and stamina. Brilliant!"
